Women also qualify for hair transplants. Particularly in the past few years, we observe male pattern hair loss in women too. Women who have this type of hair loss choose to have hair transplant surgeries, however, if women choose to hair transplant operations for densification, the incisions (the surgical cuts – channels) that are made during the surgery will harm the patient’s existing hair, and they will lose their existing hair in amounts that correspond to the number of newly transplanted hair.
In women, hair transplant surgeries are not 100% successful – they do not result without any loss. Therefore, women should only choose to have a hair transplant if they have male pattern hair loss. I advise the female hair loss patients to find out the underlying reasons for their hair loss.
