What is Male Pattern Hair Loss?

Male pattern hair loss is the type of hair loss that occurs due to genetic susceptibility to the impact of DHT hormone (a derivative of male hormone or testosterone). It often starts as the receding hair lines and hair loss on the temples starting from the age of 20.

In some patients, the hair loss starts from the forehead to the back of the head. In some others, the hair on the top of the scalp starts thinning, and it gets bald over time, except the parts of the scalp such as the sides, and the back of the scalp which are resistant to balding.
