What is Androgenetic Alopecia?

Androgenetic alopecia, is the male type hair loss observed in men. The cause of androgenetic alopecia is the male hormone DHT. This hormone ensures some of the biological features to take effect in a male body. The deepening of the voice during the adolescence, the increased muscle mass, the growth of beard and mustache, the growth of hair in certain body parts are all because of the effects of this hormone. However, some men are genetically more prone to the effects of this hormone, and the hair follicles on their scalp are negatively affected by this hormone. These hair follicles shrink with time, damage, and they become dull.  As a result, androgenetic alopecia (hair loss) occurs.
