There are no significant differences between the hair transplantation and post-surgery processes in female and male patients.
Women generally do not wish to have their hair shortened, and the hair transplantation proceeds as hair density enhancement.
In women there is the risk of existing hair to stick to the transplanted hair, and the hair follicles falling. That is why the operation requires much skill and attention.
When the hair is in the growing stage, there is no difference in the operation between men and women.
In both men and women, during the first 3 months’ post-surgery, some hair falls. In the later stages, hair starts growing gradually. After 6-8 months the hair grows to its maximum and after 1 year, it looks like natural hair.
