How is Hair Transplant Performed on Burn Marks, Scars, and Other Types of Marks?

We can perform hair transplant on burn marks and scars. There is a con of this procedure: in body sites with marks, the blood build up/the blood supply on the tissues of marks is not as good as the blood supply on healthy tissues without marks. We perform hair transplant on the face and on the hair bearing sites/scalp to cover up the marks.

In regular hair and beard transplants, the success rate is 90-95%, and yet, on the sites with burn marks or scars, the chance of success is 60-70% depending on the vascularity and the quality of the tissue on those sites. Therefore, after having a hair transplant on a site with scars or marks, we might have to repeat the procedure ten months or one year after the hair transplant.
